Privacy policy / personal data management policy

In principle, access to the information available on or via the site www.sriw.be does not imply any processing of personal data. You can visit the site and obtain information without having to provide any data. Exceptionally, personal data may be communicated to SRIW by the user of the site with a view to obtaining additional services (request for information, registration for an event) via the contact form (which must include surname, first name, email and company name) or via email.

In this case, SRIW hereby undertakes to process the personal data in strict accordance with the relevant applicable laws and in particular with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 relating to the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data (GDPR). 

Data controller

The Data Controller is the Société Régionale d’Investissement de Wallonie, abbreviated as “SRIW”, a limited company having its registered office in Belgium, at 4000 Liège, avenue Maurice Destenay, 13, registered with the Banque Carrefour des Entreprises under the number 0219.919.487.

Purposes

The personal data communicated are processed to respond to the user’s request, for statistical purposes and for the technical management of the site (see our cookie policy).

Your personal data are processed on the basis of your consent.

Can your personal data be passed on to third parties, possibly outside the European Union?

Your personal data may be communicated to subsidiaries of the SRIW Group, to partners or event organisers as part of the processing purpose and only on the basis of our instructions, as part of a contract.

Your personal data shall not be transmitted outside the European Union or to any international organisation.

How long do we keep your personal data?

Your personal data shall be kept for the time necessary to process the request. They shall be withdrawn as soon as you have informed us of your withdrawal request without affecting the lawfulness of the processing carried out before the withdrawal of consent.

How does the limited company SRIW protect your personal data?

Your personal data shall be processed confidentially.  We make every effort to take the technical and organisational measures necessary to ensure their security.

What are your rights? How can you exercise them?

You have the right to obtain free communication of personal data concerning you, to request any rectification and, where applicable, within the limits of the GDPR, to request a limitation of the processing of personal data, to request their erasure and receive them for transmission to another controller (right to data portability).

To this end, you must send us a written request, with proof of identity, to the following email address: privacy@sriw.be.

The President of the Court of First Instance shall be finally informed of any request for the right to obtain communication, rectification, deletion or limitation of personal data if the request has been rejected.

You can also always have recourse to the Data Protection Authority at the email address: commission@privacycommission.be.

Use of information relating to navigation on our website

Personal data may be used for statistical information purposes relating to website navigation. When the user accesses the SRIW website, the servers consulted automatically collect the following data:

  • the IP address assigned to you when you log in;
  • the IP address assigned to you when you log in;
  • the date and time of access to the site;
  • the pages viewed;
  • the type of browser used;
  • the platform and/or the operating system installed on the PC;
  • the search engine and the keywords used to find the site.

This information is kept only for the sole purpose of measuring the number of visitors to the various sections of the site and of making improvements.

In order to facilitate visiting the SRIW website as well as to optimise technical management, this website uses “cookies”.
